Nate could have taken a plea deal that would have given him four years in Prison.
He decided to take his chances with a trial and it is looking like that plea deal might have been his best bet.
An Ohio jury has found former NFL linebacker Nate Webster guilty of four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a conviction that could result in Webster being sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
Webster was also charged with gross sexual imposition and sexual battery but was acquitted on those charges. He was also acquitted on a fifth count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The prosecution says the young woman in question was 15 at the time Webster had sex with her. Webster said she was 16 which is the legal age of consent in Ohio.
The jury it appeared decided he was “half” guilty of all the charges.
He will be sentenced on June 6th.
