Before you say oh that is just crazy World Peace talking, there seems to be some validity to his statements.
During the Lakers big win over the Spurs several people in the media noted that it was Kobe taking control of the team during timeouts not Mike Brown.
Doesn’t really mean anything, but interesting nevertheless.
How did you guys do this (win the game) without Kobe Bryant?”
Metta World Peace:
“We did it with Kobe. Kobe was actually out there coaching us. Every timeout, Kobe was out there and making adjustments for us. You know Popovich he’s a great coach he made a lot of adjustments, but Kobe was out there with us and we couldn’t do it without him.”

In Lakers coaches’ huddle early in this timeout, Kobe is doing all the talking. Mike Brown nodding.
In the end Mike Brown will be judged by what happens in the playoffs. An early playoff exit and things might get a little hot under his collar, but I think his job is safe for the foreseeable future.
