I think Amar’e is frustrated about a lot of things.

Injuries, his role on the team and issues in his personal life. I think it just boiled over and he let it out in one ill advised punch.

Everyone has a breaking point and that was his. The question begs what happens now? The Knicks aren’t going to beat the Heat in this series, so the Knicks have to start looking at things long term.

Amar’e still has 3 years and $60 million left on his contract and from the day the Knicks traded their entire team for Carmelo he hasn’t been an elite player.

Will the Knicks trade him? Will there be any takers?

Determining what their course of action with Amar’e will determine the long term success of the Knicks.
