I know some don’t like the logo, others don’t like that Jay Z helped design it, but people are talking about it and sales are high.

Considering the Nets aren’t a very good team that is the most they could hope for.

Jigga explains the concept behind the logo.

Sticking on the subject of the Brooklyn Nets however, Hov sat with MTV News to discuss his inspiration behind the logo and it’s “classic New York” look. He tells MTV, “It’s real gritty and [Brooklyn is] not about flash —well, sometimes. Just the roots of Brooklyn as this very bold, strong, simple logo.”

He continued by saying, “It was really a take off the old subway signs, if you look at the old subway signs they were in black and white. It was that strong, beautiful, iconic black and white. I wanted to pick something that would stand the test of time and be here forever.”
