The lesson to be learned here is don’t leave your “Lady Friend” in a hotel in Pittsburgh.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the woman, a 26-year-old from Silver Spring, Md., was in Chapman’s room while he was at Tuesday’s Reds-Pirates game, which was delayed by rain for two hours.
She told police a man claiming to be a maintenance worker knocked on the room door, and after she let him in, demanded several items from her. She refused, so the suspect proceeded to restrain her and took jewelry, clothing, a computer, credit cards and ID cards from the room.
Several hotel guests heard the woman crying and alerted hotel security, who told Pittsburgh police they will be tracking security surveillance videos. The Reds released a statement that they were aware of “a hotel room robbery of one of our players” and were working with local authorities, but refused further comment.
The woman said she was tied up with “Paper Napkins”.
Are you thinking what I am thinking?
Ironically, Chapman has admitted since coming over from Cuba he has had a tough time adjusting to life in the US. He has had a couple of run ins with the law already.
Did the lady set him up or was this just a random robbery?
Things that make you go hmmmm….
