50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather have two things that are essential to get a boxing promotional company off the ground fast.
MONEY & AL HAYMON
While it may have seemed that 50 Cent was just joking around with Oscar De La Hoya about taking over the industry, they are making moves quickly to get people to recognize they are serious about their business.
The new promotional company TMT Promotions, headed by rapper 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr., has already announced the signing of Andre Dirrell and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Now the company has inked IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib to a multi-fight pact. In addition, former welterweight champion Andre Berto announced on his Twitter feed that he had a three hour meeting with 50 Cent with “big plans in the works.” The company has also been linked to former two-division champion Zab Judah and reigning WBA featherweight king Celestino Caballero.
