There are a couple of teams that can ill afford for their draft picks to hold out or miss anytime at training camp.
That includes Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III.
Add Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne to that list. The Cowboys got a steal by trading up to grab the LSU star at number 6, but all that could be for naught if he’s not in camp on time.
Mo Claiborne could change the culture of a Dallas secondary that has been a disaster the past few season.
ESPN Dallas is reporting via his agent Bus Cook that Claiborne may not be in camp on time because of contract language.
when asked about it Cook stated “I have no idea, don’t know,” Cook said about Claiborne’s availability for training camp from a contractual standpoint. “I don’t know. We’ll see.”
The Cowboys rookies report to training camp July 25 or 17 days from now.
Claiborne had wrist surgery that has kept him out of all the off-season workouts and it is essential that he hit the ground running from day 1.
