Kobe is right and I am sure Lebron knows this.
It is a process, before you can get not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7 and etc rings, you have to get the first one. The first one gets you ring protection.
No one can ever say you weren’t a champion and dominated your sport at the highest level. Getting one ring separates Lebron from all the great players who didn’t win any, so now Lebron isn’t playing for his reputation anymore, he is playing for his legacy.
Stats are great, but there is a common denominator when you look at the greatest basketball players of all time, they all have a lot of jewelry.
“One championship doesn’t get it, you know what I’m saying?” Bryant said. “So for me, when we won one, it was a little different because it was, like you know, Michael (Jordan) had six, Magic (Johnson) had five. So me and Shaq (O’Neal) both were like, man, we got to get some more. One ain’t going to cut it.”
Bean was dissing Lebron, he was just speaking the truth, if you want to be discussed with the likes Jordan, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Bird and etc you need to fill up that hand with rings.
Lebron has plenty of time left in his career, so let him enjoy his championship ride, but just remember there will come a time if he goes another 2 or 3 years without winning again that the whispers will arise again, as the King you can never relax, someone will always be ready to take your throne.
