Former NFL OG Fred Matua Dies At The Age of 28

Former Titans offensive lineman Fred Matua, who spent the 2006-07 seasons on the team’s practice squad, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 28. According to reports, early indications are the cause of death was heart related. Matua, a 6-foot-2, 305-pounder, played at Southern Cal from 2003-05. He was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the Lions, but he ended up with the Titans for two seasons. Later, Matua spent time with the Browns and Redskins.
