Giants DT Shaun Rogers Out For the Season With Blood Clot in His Leg

I am glad it was detected sooner than later, because a clot can easily spread and kill you.
The Giants almost escaped training camp without a major injury. That changed Tuesday, the last day of camp here, when the team discovered defensive tackle Shaun Rogers had a blood clot in his calf that would keep him out for the season.
Rogers, who signed a one-year deal in April and was expected to play a role in the run defense, played in the Giants’ exhibition game Friday against Jacksonville. He was then sent to New York on Sunday to see a team doctor, who diagnosed the clot.
