Jerry Jones has been talking a lot junk lately about the Giants, they seem to be his main focus this season.
“I want everyone on our team with their mind on the Giants because that’s who we open up with,” Jones said. “That’s our first real deal, and that’s why they’re getting my attention.”
Funny thing is John Mara or the Giants aren’t even concerned with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. The only thing the Cowboys got out of Mara was a great one liner.
Mara walked in the team dining hall with a bandage on his forehead, when reporters noticed, Mara replied:
“You should see what Jerry Jones looks like.”
When appearing on “The Mike Lupica Show” on ESPN Radio, Mara was asked about Jones comment.
“We’ll show up (to play the Cowboys),” Mara said. “But that is actually the first time I’ve heard that comment. I have been so caught up in the (Tim) Tebow coverage that I haven’t had time for anything else.”
And with that combo Mara killed two birds with one stone.
