Jerry Jones can’t publicly acknowledge he has Dez Bryant on house arrest, because frankly that would be in violation of several CBA rules.
So, he went on the radio today and pleaded ignorance.
Unfortunately, he didn’t tell Dez’s adviser or head coach to keep their mouth shut. So, they basically threw Jones under the bus.
Tim McMahon of ESPNDallas.com just tweeted a quote from David Wells, Bryant’s oft-quoted mentor, from the Ben & Skin Show on 103.3 ESPN Radio.
“Jerry Jones is in great support of this system and said, ‘Let’s get it done.’”
Then here is what Jason Garrett had to say.
“What we’ve tried to do is come up with a plan for Dez, like we would for any player who we feel like needs our support and help him be his best as a player and as a person. And the accountability factor is an important part of that with him and with anybody on our football team.”
Jerry needs to stick to rapping about Papa John’s Pizza
