UCLA Freshman Shabazz Muhammad Being Investigated by NCAA

Shabazz hasn’t even played yet and is already in trouble.

At least wait until the season starts before taking hand outs.

Tracy Pierson of Scout.com  reports that prized freshman wing Shabazz Muhammad will not travel to China with UCLA at the end of the month for the Bruins’ three preseason games there.

Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv has more details. Muhammad has been declared ineligible while the NCAA investigates possible improper benefits provided to Muhammad by a couple of family friends. “Since the investigation won’t be totally clear, they wanted to hold him out for China,” a source told Zagoria. “He has class. He’s not going to miss that for China.”
