VY is hanging on to his roster spot by a thread, I don’t know if admitting he is struggling with the playbook was the best thing to say publicly.
Then again the Bills probably know better than anyone his current limitations.
“I would love to play the whole game,” Young told The Associated Press, referring to the Buffalo Bills’ matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. “But whatever snaps (coach) will give me, I’ll take advantage of that.”
Young admits he’s not fully comfortable with the Bills’ offense, now three months after he signed with the team as a free agent. He said he’s “still not relaxed,” though more reps in practice and in game situations could help him.
The clock is ticking. Young’s no lock for a spot on Buffalo’s final roster, as he continues a competition for the backup role against Tyler Thigpen. The loser of that battle will likely be shown the door.
