Aaron Rodgers: “I Feel Bad For The Fans”

Since the NFL nor Roger Goodell took the time to acknowledge disgruntled fans and apologize, Aaron Rodgers will do it for them.

After a disappointing and controversial lost to the Seattle Seahawks Monday Nights, Aaron Rodgers took to his weekly radio show to not only speak about Monday nights fiasco but he apologized to fans, stating that “the NFL cares more about money”.

“I just feel bad for the fans,” Rodgers said on the show. “They pay good money and the game is being tarnished by an NFL who obviously cares more about saving a little money then having the integrity of the game diminish a little bit.”

“Our sport is generated, the multi-billion dollar machine is generated, by people coming to watch us play,” Rodgers said. “And the product that is on the field is not being complemented by an appropriate set of officials. The games are getting out of control.”

Rodgers and every other NFL player that has spoken out is right, the games are getting out of control. There has already been a recent poll done by ESPN that if the Replacement Refs continue to officiate 54% of fans wont watch or go to anymore games. With the NFL being the top sport and a multi-billion dollar company, losing half your fans because you’re being cheap is going to cost you more.

  1. The officiating has been bad, but the fans are not going to stop watching. The excitement for the game with great players making unbelievable plays will transfer to under-qualified referees making unbelievable calls.

We can’t wait to see the next bonehead mistake. Just waiting for the next train wreck. That’s how we are wired.

The NFL will get this fixed. For now it’s boosting its stock. Reminding people just how good the “product” is they produce and promote.

I ‘ll be watching…waiting to say aaah man! I can’t believe the ref didn’t see that….
