This isn’t just a boxing thing, this is a man thing.

Any time a man can beast you so bad you have admit defeat and quit, how can you look your wife, kids and yourself in the mirror?

Chad Dawson is a world class fighter who has beaten some of the best fighters in the world. He has never been in a fight that he was totally dominated and embarrassed until………

I don’t have enough superlatives to describe the performance Andre Ward put on. I have always respected that Ward goes out and wins by any means necessary, but even he will admit sometimes those wins were ugly.

To be a big time PPV fighter in the United States, you can’t win ugly all the time, you have to knock some people out. Everyone can’t be a brilliant boxer like Floyd Mayweather or throw hands like Pacquiao. You have to be entertaining and get the general fan on your side.

If you never watched Andre Ward fight before tonight, that is great because the memory you will have of him is being aggressive,  pin point with his punches and taking someone’s soul.

That is how you move from HBO to PPV.

It wouldn’t have been a surprised if Ward beat Dawson, but what everyone will be talking about on Monday is how Ward beat Dawson.

He virtually killed Dawson’s career and made him quit. That is how go from star to Superstar. Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez, the Klitschkos and Floyd Mayweather can’t fight forever, someone has to take that crown and be the face of the sport.

Ward took Dawson’s cornbread and is on his way to eating well at the Pound for Pound boxing table.
