Many in the boxing community feel that 22 year old Canelo Alvarez is without a doubt the future of the sport at several different weight classes.

With a fighter as young as Alvarez, you would assume the fighter and his representatives would try and take things slow.

Not this young Mexican phenom.

The NY Post is reporting that after his dominant performance over Josesito Lopez, Alvarez was asked about how ready he was to take on the king of boxing himself Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Young Canelo didn’t blink or stutter in his response.

“I was born ready.”

“I’m happy to fight anybody,” Alvarez said through a translator. “I want to challenge the best, and I’m ready.”

Canelo Alvarez mania is growing and the young stud is in a hurry for it to reach it’s full peak.
