Charlotte Observer chose to wait a week after the Panthers disappointing lost to the Giants last Thursday, to display a Cam Newton cartoon with a “Hello Kitty” instead of a “Superman S”. This cartoon is a little late on the slander, but the message still conveys, Newton hasn’t had a stellar performance as of late. With a record breaking rookie season, the expectations for Newton are high.
Many people can take this cartoon and twist it however they chose, but bottom line is, with all the hype surrounding the Panthers this season, fans are somewhat disappointed with the 1-2 outcome. Coach Ron Rivera though is preaching patience, “Panther fans don’t panic just yet, its only week 3″.
