Growing up as a kid I can’t remember anyone who didn’t like the lead character in Knight Rider, Michael knight.

The character drove around from city to city in an awesome talking car, helping the less fortunate and those being taken advantage of.

USA Today is reporting that David Hasselhoff and his character Knight Rider were Dwayne Wade’s hero growing up.

In an excerpt from Wade’s new book titled “A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball,” Wade spoke about the shows influence on his young life.

In his darkest days of a difficult youth, he turned to watching “Knight Rider” alongside his grandmother, writing, “I actually told David Hasselhoff how he helped me get through the tough times in childhood.”

Who would have though KITT had that much influence on someone.
