Whew the freakiest and simplest accidents can be the most painful.

Pro Basketball Talk is reporting that Lakers guard Steve Blake will miss close to a month with a puncture to his left foot after stepping on a spike strip in a parking lot.

Blake cannot participate in anything impacted related for three weeks.

Blake is entering his third season with the Lakers and will be in a fight with Chris Duhon for backup minutes behind Steve Nash at the point.

Now tell me again Steve how did you step on a parking spike.

Never mind.
