I so wish i was making this story up.
New York Giants tight end Martellus Bennett is having a career year after two games with the G Men.
He has 15 catches for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns.
That statement alone lets you know what he accomplished in short time in Dallas.
In a recent New York Times article, Bennett admits to forming a gang that engaged in robbing in stealing. The entertaining part of this story comes in what Bennett and his crew chose to steal.
Bennett and his crew chose to steal toys from other kids and sell them, and they also dabbled in robbing ice cream trucks.
Bennett says he formed the gang with the idea of getting in the black market toy business.
“we would jump kids and take their toys and sell them.”
The jacking the ice cream man was an even more elaborate set up.
“I would take a dollar and go to the ice cream truck. I would tell a few kids to bang on the other side of the truck. The ice cream guy would turn around and look out that side, then the rest of the kids would run in on this side and grab all the ice cream. When he turned back, I’d still be standing there with my dollar and be like, ‘They went that way!’ It worked every time.
I promise to all my readers I am not making this up.
Bennett’s crew was called the “Ocean View Gangsters.”
That young man is pure comedy.
