Notre Dame To Join ACC With Exception Of Football

Welcome Fighting Irish to the ACC.
According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Notre Dame, as of this morning will join the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Fighting Irish will become a full member with the exception of football but will play 5 football games against ACC teams.
The Irish will join the ACC as soon as its able to leave The Big East, which currently requires a 27 month notice to leave.
