The USA Today via the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that NBA great Oscar Robertson is facing foreclosure on his chemical companies Ohio headquarters for roughly $200,000 in back taxes.
Robertson and his wife also owe more than $2.5 million to two banks for loans on that same building.
Robertson’s company, Orchem Corp., has 14 open tax liens filed against it by Ohio officials (with seven filed on Aug. 24) totaling nearly $12,500. Half of the liens are for unpaid sales taxes. Two shipping companies also have won judgments this year against Orchem totaling nearly $83,000, the court files show.
At one point in time Orchem Corp, was considered to be the nation’s largest minority-owned specialty chemical company.
