The only way the spread option can be effective is if there is a threat of a pass. Tebow had not thrown a pass in the first three games, so the Tebow package had been a failure.

This time though Tebow pulls out his jump pass from Florida.

Good news it worked, bad kneed Dedrick Epps’ knee might be heading to Odenville after the hit he takes.
