Tulane LB Trent Mackey Charged With Robbery Last Month, Burglary Monday
I struggle to understand how young athletes that are exceptionally talented and so close to their dreams or at worst a degree do such blatantly stupid things.
In mid August Tulane University star linebacker Trent Mackey was charged with robbery and suspended from the team.
He was awaiting reinstatement and a return to the program.
Monday according to the New Orleans Time-Picayune, Mackey took six steps backwards after being arrested charged with one count of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
The arrest Monday stemmed from a July incident that took place before the August arrest.
The victim in the July incident says he was awaken in his home by a man, he later identified as Mackey.
When Mackey realized the victim was awake, he fled the home.
He reported stole and iPhone, 2 watches, and $70 in cash.
Tulane officials will make an announcement soon on Mackey’s status with the school.
Smarten up Nas.
