Woman Who Tweeted Jokes About Torrey Smith Brother’s Death Wants Police Protection

Picture 5 of 5

I am a big believer in two wrongs doesn’t make a right.

We know Katie Moody was wrong when she Tweeted this.

“Hey, Smith, how about you call your bro and tell him about your wi— ohhhh. Wait. #TooSoon?” @KatieBrady12

“The pats may have lost but at least none of them lost a family member. I’d say that’s a win.” @KatieBrady12

I think it was fair game that once she did, the media and fans were able to express their feelings about her by Tweeting her and writing posts about the dangers of being a keyboard gangster.

Contacting her place of employment that is something you have to decide if you believe was appropriate or not.

What I don’t think is appropriate is threatening her life, that doesn’t make you any better of a person than she is and we know on some level she isn’t a very good human being.

Let karma run its course.

Because of the death threats and posting of her home address she has asked for police protection.  In a twisted way, I think she is getting a high off the attention because even though she has made her Twitter page private she is still Tweeting about the incident.

Here are a few of her Tweets since her page @katiebrady12 went private.

•”In the heat of me being upset about NE, I made a horrible joke about Smith’s bro and became the most hated person on the web.”

•”I apologized and meant it…I just can’t control if people think I’m really sorry.”

•”Well, I’m currently getting death threats and people posting my home address.”

•”I feel like Cady from ‘Mean Girls’ when she walks into the gymnasium and she knows everyone there is staring and hates her.”

•”Cyber Bullying is a new hobby, I guess. :)”

I don’t believe she is sorry about what she said, just sorry about the aftermath.  The overall point is anything that you say in social media can come back to haunt you, so be very careful before you hit send.
