It is possible that the fan William Pettry and the two men he got into an altercation with were arguing over something other than football, but what we do know is that Pettry was in town for the game.

The fight happened at Fionn MacCool’s, a popular Irish bar in Jacksonville.

Pettry was pronounce dead at the hospital according to Channel 5 NBC in Chicago.

The stabbing took place a block from where the Bears were staying.  Over the last couple of years the amount of fights and sometimes fatal altercations have increased, so please be careful.
