Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been in his share of drama, and had a few bone head moments himself, so I’m not sure if he should be the one giving out advice.
Last night the Bears the defeated the Lions in a physical but lackluster affair.
During the first half action, Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh chased Jay Cutler down and slammed him down viciously.
There was no penalty called on the play, and Cutler stay down for a minute before only missing a play or two.
Larry Brown Sports is reporting that Brandon Marshall did not take kindly to the hit on his quarterback, and let Suh and the rest of the world know via twitter after the ball game.
Suh has a reputation now for playing somewhat dirty, but most pundits agree it was clean play.
Bears head coach Lovie Smith had no problem with the play.
“Nobody’s trying to hurt anyone or anything like that. Suh’s playing hard trying to win the game.”
I’m sure Suh may incur a fine at some point this week, but it’s nothing to cause an uproar or a weeks worth of conversation about.
Marshall for his part can find another way to stick up for his quarterback than passing out wisdom.
Have one drama free season, then pass the wisdom.
