Carmelo Anthony Speaks on A-Rod’s Struggles

Born in Brooklyn but growing up in Baltimore, Carmelo Anthony was never a Yankees fan.

But by being a star in New York in his own right, he couldn’t help but notice what Alex Rodriguez was going through with his recent struggles at the plate and ultimately being benched.

Per Newsday: Carmelo was quoted as saying, “I just feel bad for A-Rod, man. I don’t like to see nobody go through that. It’s tough.” 

When asked about how he would feel about being benched Anthony remarked, “I can’t imagine that. I can’t imagine that.

Not often do you see stars in other sports express their sympathy for other athletes. I guess with the performance A-Rod put on, he could use all the sympathy he can get.
