This week we have very important bye weeks and the depth of your team will need to show with a few fantasy popular teams on bye week this week. You have to be careful when you draft to avoid players with the same bye weeks, but if you didn’t I’ll try and help you fill some voids.
Put Me in the Game Coach
Matt Schaub – He is quietly putting together a great season. Through 4 games he has almost 1000 yards with 7 scores and 1 interception. This week he gets the Jets without Revis and Holmes in a primetime game on Monday Night. In his past eight primetime games, Andre Johnson Schaub’s best receiver, has shined. Averaging 6.4 catches and 98.4 yards he is due for a big a game especially with the injury riddled Jets.
Jordy Nelson – Greg Jennings down again, it seems this groin of his is going to be a problem for him all season. In either case, its great for fantasy owners who have Nelson. Packers look back on track on offense and with the Colts this week look for him to have a great week.
Scott Chandler – If there is one weakness that the 49ers have shown its their ability to cover tight ends. Minnesota took advantage of that for a win, and look for Harvard Grad Ryan Fitzpatrick to look for him early and often in against this 49ers defense.
Brandon Marshall – If you are a Jaguars fan, I’m sorry. Every week I pick someone from the team your playing to start. This defense is awful, and with a little confidence from going beast mode against the Cowboys look for the Jay Cutler to Brandon Marshall show to continue this week.
Have the Loneliest Seat on the Bench –
Fred Jackson/C.J. Spiller – The 49ers don’t let you run the ball period. Let’s just leave it at that and move on.
Anybody on Offense for the Jets – The Jets are imploding in front of our very eyes. With their best option on offense out against the Texans on Monday Night I don’t expect anything from this offense.
Chris Johnson – Chris Johnson looked good last week against the Texans rushing for 141 yards with no TDs. Minnesota’s defense is highly underrated. They don’t get a lot of love but they are 3-1 and that defense is a big part of it. I hope he can continue his success on the ground, but I don’t see it happening this week.
Brian Hartline – Don’t fall in love with the moment. Last week he had an all-world game, but don’t get burned thinking he will do the same this week against this Cincy defense. Good guy to keep on the roster, but he has a bad matchup this week.
Waiver Wire Warriors
Matt Hasselback – Jake Locker looks to miss some time and Matt Hasselback is probably the best #2 quaterback in the league. If you have some bye week issues he could give u a week or two while Jake Locker is nursing his shoulder.
Andre Roberts – If I told you this guy was the 2nd leading receiver for the 4-0 Cardinals would u believe he is still sitting on the waivers. With 15 catches for 229 yards and 4 scores he is a consistent option. He numbers wont wow you, but he consistently gets targets and with his 4 scores on the season he could be a great asset to your team.
Jackie Battle – He has been a great find for a San Diego offense that has been struggling to find any sort of ground game. Although Ryan Matthews should be back to form soon, Battle has Andre Browned his way into this running attack with his play the past few weeks. Could be a filler for a bye week as the Chargers have the Saints this week.
