Coaches are under pressure to win games in this day and time, but going over board on discipline is not the route to go.

USA Today is reporting that Idaho State head coach Mike Kramer is being investigated by campus and local police after shoving wide receiver Derek Graves during a practice October 3rd.

A video featured on ESPN’s ‘Outside The Lines” reportedly shows Kramer sprinting across the field to the other side to talk to Graves, and then subsequently shoving him to the ground.

The video reportedly shows Kramer stepping over top of Graves before walking away.

According to the report, Campus and the Pocatello Police Department are investigating whether the push is criminal behavior.

Graves said Kramer got upset when the receiver told a freshman defensive back he’d rather go against a senior in one-on-one drills.

Graves said right before Kramer shoved him he yelled, “He’s a varsity f—— player.”

Graves is the team’s third-leading receiver and says he now suffers from neck spasms.
