There was some thought especially after Larry Johnson told his side of the story that no charges would be filed, but the evidence must be strong enough, because the prosecutors are proceeding with the case.

According to TMZ, Johnson has been charged with one count of felony domestic battery which carries a max of 5 years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

According to his victim who hasn’t been identified, after a night of partying Johnson got violent and choked her to the point of unconsciousness.

When she awoke in the hotel hallway she was battered and bruise. That is when police were call and Johnson was arrested.

No trial date has been set.
