Coming into Sunday’s match-up between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, there was plenty of trash talk from both sides.
But by the time the contest was over, the Dolphins were the only ones who backed it up after a 30-9 win against their rival. The Dolphins jumped to an early lead and were up 20-0 at halftime. They pretty much never looked back as the game was never in doubt.
Dolphins star running back Reggie Bush only had 59 yards on 14 carries, but he made it clear what he thoughts of the Jets after the game.
Per Newsday: Bush was quoted as saying, “We knew we wanted to jump on them early, and I think we were able to accomplish that. I think once we got them early, they kind of laid down a little bit.”
This is second time this year the Jets have been accussed of quitting after falling down big. San Francisco corner back Carlos Rogers said the same thing after the 49ers 34-0 trouncing of the Jets.
All this bad football and Mark Sanchez doesn’t even have Eva Longoria to go home to anymore.
