Jets head coach Rex Ryan has never been one to mince words, but they are usually of the confident variety.
Today Rex made a humbling analysis of himself, and it’s quite shocking to be honest.
Rex admitted to the Newark Star Ledger that Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a better coach than he is.
“If it’s just between Belichick in me, he’s going to win that battle,” Ryan said. “I recognize that, but it’s not going to be for lack of effort.”
“I don’t think I’m the best head coach in the league,” Ryan said. “I think he is. I was truthful about that.”
Ryan made sure to clarify that he meant Belichick is a better coach, but that he doesn’t feel the Patriots have a better team.
He’d never say that.
