Stories like these are hard to write.
To often we see athletes with no work ethic get so many opportunities, and the ones who are deserving, humble, and who work their tails off catch such bad breaks.
University of South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore fought back from an ACL injury last season to return for his junior season, and was looking like a first round pick.
Today in the first half against Tennessee Lattimore went down with a devastating leg injury after taking a helmet to the right knee.
Lattimore was down several minute in pain, and knew the extent of his injury by the look on his face.
Marcus Lattimore has probably played his last game at South Carolina, now we hope he can rehab quickly and get the NFL shot he deserves.
He can look at Willis McGahee’s recovery in 2003 as inspiration.
The respect that Lattimore has amongst his peers is evident by players from both teams crowding Marcus to show respect.
