The Spaniards men’s basketball team must have really taken that loss to the U.S. really hard in gold medal game, because according to the New York Daily News, they reportedly trashed and destroyed their apartment to the tune of $14,000 in damages.

The team coached/managed by Sergio Scariolo’s racked up a huge bill after wrecking two rooms.

Spanish media has come down on the team and labeled their actions as “despicable” and “disrespectful”.

Reports are that a source with inside knowledge of the Spanish Basketball Federation at first denied having any knowledge of such activities, but then stated that “The leaving parties are usually a regular thing when players finish a tournament. After living together for six weeks, preparing and competing, they have it. But it has never led to this.”

Wow the Olympics are off the hook at times, who would have known.
