Reports have confirmed that Terry Francona will make his return to baseball as Cleveland Indians manager.
Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal broke the news on twitter earlier today, and noted that things won’t be made official until Monday.
Francona was unceremoniously booted from the Red Sox despite winning two championships there following their subpar 2011 season, and joined ESPN as a baseball analyst. Francona interviewed for the job last Wednesday and was quoted as being ‘optimistic’ in his chances on landing the job.
