Former Red Sox manger and current ESPN MLB analyst Terry Francona is scheduled to meet with the Cleveland Indians to interview for the open managerial position.
The Indians are a week fresh off firing Manny Acta, and many have pegged former Indians bench coach and current interim manager Sandy Alomar JR as a favorite to take the position longterm. Still, Francona does have the two world series rings on his side which should surely give him a good chance to ultimately get the job.
Francona is scheduled to go in either Wednesday or Thursday, one can only wish him good luck after an ugly exit in Boston.
