The Sixers will pay $16 million to Bynum this year for likely zero production. After that they will have to decide that if they want to give a max deal to a player who knees are on that midnight train to Odenville.

What would you do if you were the Sixers?

After damaging both his knees more while bowling, according to RealGM a renowned surgeon says it would take 4-6 months of rest for the injuries to heal on their own and if he opted for surgery he would be out for the entire year.  Bynum’s surgeon was told not to speak to the media.

The Sixers have been silent on the issue, besides saying that there is no timetable on Bynum’s return.
