Before this season began, Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie was on record saying that the Eagles needed to do better than 8-8 for Andy Reid to keep his job.
After Monday nights lost to the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles have already lost 8 games this season with 5 to go. So according to the owner, Reid has already lost his job right?
Not if you ask the head coach.
Per CSNPhilly.com: “We haven’t talked about that,” said Reid.
“He’s been supportive. Obviously, he’s as competitive as anybody. He wants to win games. That’s why he’s in this business. But we really haven’t gone there.”
“We’re going to keep battling,” Reid said. “I have to do a better job with that obviously by how we played here. I’m not worried about all of the other things.”
The writing seems to be on the wall for Andy Reid in Philly.
Perhaps the fact that the owner hasn’t addressed his future, perhaps signifies that it should be known knowledge Reid won’t be coming back next season.
