I think Melo is more happy that Mike D’Antoni is not the coach of the Knicks anymore, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say these words are sincere.
Carmelo Anthony said he was “happy” for D’Antoni, who manned the sidelines in New York from 2008 to March, when he resigned.
“I knew he was trying to take some time off and get healthy and things like that,”.
He wasn’t happy with D’Antoni during his last year with the Knicks which led to this hilarious exchange between Melo and Kobe.
Melo and D’Antoni spent time together during the Olympics and have seen to pushed aside any lingering hard feelings.
