Floyd Mayweather Sr. Says He’s Training Andre Dirrell For 50 Cent
By now everyone is aware of the fact that their may indeed be a 50 Cent, Floyd Mayweather Jr. beef.
That beef may have just gotten a little more heated, with some explosive fluid added to it.
Yahoo Sports is report that Floyd Mayweather Sr, father of Money Mayweather, will train super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell for 50 Cent and his SMS Promotions.
According to Mayweather Sr., 50 approached him about training Dirrell, and Sr says he took the job without a thought about anyone’s feud.
“I got a call from [Tommy Smalls], one of the guys that used to work with my son,” Floyd Sr. told Chris Robinson of Boxingscene. “He called me and then I talked to 50 Cent. That’s 50 Cent’s fighter right now and he asked would I train him. He said ‘Please say yes’. That’s what he said and I told him ‘No problem’. We’ve trained this whole week right here and everything’s looking to be pretty good right now.”
When asked about the ramifications of working for someone his son may now have a problem with.
“Look here, that’s 50 and Floyd and I’m Floyd Sr.,” he said. “I don’t even know nothing about it to be honest.”
Making the situation more interesting, 50 Cent, his SMS Promotions, and the gym Dirrell and other fighters will train at, will all be based out of Las Vegas, in the same general area as his supposed former friend.
