One of the most colorful boxers of the 80′s Hector Macho Camacho is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in the face and neck in Puerto Rico according to Boxing Scene.

It appears it was a planned drive by shooting. Camacho was a passenger in a car when a passing vehicle opened fired. The driver of Camacho’s car was pronounced dead.

While Camacho is listed in critical condition at San Pablo hospital.

Things are not looking good for the former champ.

“The situation with ‘Macho’ is very delicate,” Centro Medico director Dr. Ernesto Torres told reporters during a 7 a.m. media briefing on Wednesday. “The prognosis is not good.”

“He went into cardiac arrest. The doctors were able to get his heart started again with the medicine, and we are maintaining his blood pressure and pulse stable medically right now to see whether during this morning, afternoon or evening we see a positive change,” Torres said.
