ESPN Chicago is reporting that Bears starting quarterback Jay Cutler has passed all his concussion test, and has been cleared to start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
Cutler underwent an evaluation Saturday by an independent neurologist, and was cleared to go.
Bears coach Lovie Smith released a comment a few moments ago.
“He has progressed as we wanted him to do,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said after practice. “As I’ve said, it’s looking good. One more step to get him evaluated by an independent neurologist. Jay Cutler is getting better, was able to do more than he did yesterday.”
Cutler was knocked out of a Nov 11th loss to the Houston Texans.
