Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz made it clear that he won’t address Ndamukong Suh about kicking Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin because he knows it wasn’t intentional.
While on 97.1 FM in Detroit, Schwartz elaborated on why he felt there was no need to talk to Suh.
“There’s nothing to address,” Schwartz said.
He also added that he wasn’t surprised Suh wouldn’t be suspended by the NFL.
“I wasn’t at all surprised that it didn’t warrant any kind of suspension or anything,” Schwartz said. “Ndamukong, I think, has done an outstanding job of staying free of penalties this year. I think he’s had one offside penalty the whole year. I think that’s been very commendable on his part. And there’s going to be a camera on him every single play. That’s just life in the city when you’re a player of his profile. And when that happens, there’s going to be all kinds of things that people can interpret any way they want. I think that was one of those situations.”
At this point, my Lions just need to focus on the field and ignore all off the field distractions.
And Suh needs to keep his legs to himself.
