Joshua Cribbs says he feels like Caged Athlete in Browns Offense

Undoubtedly, Cleveland Browns receiver and return man Joshua Cribbs is a game changer when he gets his hands on the ball.

Unfortunately, this season the problem has been actually getting on the field to get the ball.

With Cribbs in the last season of his deal, perhaps the Browns just have other plans at the receiver position and don’t consider Cribbs a priority.

Cribbs recently spoke out on his frustrations.

Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer: “I feel like I’m trapped. I feel like a caged athlete,” Cribbs said.

Me going from being able to run the wildcat, to playing receiver last season and catching 41 passes and four touchdowns to nothing — I can’t believe it,” said Cribbs. “By me not playing, I feel like they think I’m not good, that I’ve lost it. But I haven’t. I feel when I’m out there I can contribute, but I’m not able to.”

Cribbs said he attempted to talk to head coach Pat Shurmur about his role.

There’s no point,” he said. “Obviously they feel like everybody that’s in front of me is a better athlete. I disagree. I feel a different way than the coach feels about me. They must feel I can’t produce. We have a difference of opinion.

Sounds like Cribbs could be taking his talents elsewhere at seasons end.
