The NBA has a new partner and Mavs owner Mark Cuban is not shy in expressing his displeasure with the move.

Power Balance is a company that manufactures wristbands that they claim enhance athletic performance through the use of “ancient health and wellness practices and wrapped in a modern holographic form.”  They have partnered with the league who wants players to wear the bracelets as a form of advertisement, and the outspoken Mavs owner is having no parts of it.

Mark Cuban has a great point here.  I’ve always questioned the validity of these magical bracelets, and to add insult to injury, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2011 after agreeing to a large out of court settlement after a class action suit was brought against them for false advertising.
