Yesterday the greatest basketball player to possibly ever lace them up was banned from a Miami Beach Country Club for wearing cargo pants.

Today he spoke to ESPN Chicago, and he refuted reports that he refused to change out of the cargo shorts he had on.

Jordan made it clear he wasn’t rebelling against anything.

“I’ve been there many times and no one told me a thing,” Jordan told ESPN Chicago by text. “Then all of a sudden they come to me on the 11th hole and say I can’t wear cargo shorts. Wow! The round is almost over and you want me to buy shorts now? Yeah, right!!”

Jordan continued to play his round, but after he left, he was reportedly told he wasn’t welcomed back.

Jordan’s response to that.

“No problem!!” Jordan replied.
