Plaxico Burress flew into Pittsburgh, and made reportedly made a great impression on the Steelers coaching staff.
Burress has spent most of the season promising he’d be in great shape when he got his call, and according to Steelers.com, head coach Mike Tomlin said he was exactly that.
“He’s in really good physical condition based on the workout I just saw,” said Tomlin. “He’s got very good body control for a big man. He can drop his weight at break points. Obviously, he’s no stranger to football.”
I think Burress will be a valuable red zone target for the Steelers who tend to get bogged down inside the 20 at times.
He doesn’t have to be a starter either to get the valuable touches he needs.
