NBA Issues First Warnings to JJ Barea and Donald Sloan for Flopping

Vlade Divac would be proud…Or would he?

The NBA announced Monday that it has issued its first official warnings under the new flopping policy to JJ Barea of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Donald Sloan of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Under the new rules if Barea or Sloan are in violation again they will be fined.  It will be interesting to see if the NBA is able to effectively enforce this rule. These were two obvious cases, but would the same call be made if there was a mismatch and the little guy decided to get their Emmy on when bumped by an obviously bigger player. Only time will tell, but congrats to Barea and Sloan on being the first to be called out on their on-court acting abilities…or lack there of.
